An appreciation event for our invaluable donors

On Wednesday, June 6th, St. Francis House hosted an appreciation event for the Founder’s Society at the Lenox Hotel.  The cocktail reception was presented by long-term corporate supporter, Natixis Global Asset Management.  The event recognized the Founder’s Society, a committed group of donors who support St. Francis House with gifts of $1,000 or more each year.

The evening included members of the St. Francis House senior leadership team and program staff who were available to answer questions regarding several of key program areas including Clinical Services, Workforce Development, and the 48 Boylston Street affordable housing project.

Founder’s Society Member and 48 Boylston Street Project Superintendent, Mike Manzella, addressed attendees with an emotional testimonial of his personal connection to mental health issues and why he became a founder.  St. Francis House Board Chair, Tim Egan and President and CEO, Karen LaFrazia, also addressed attendees with words of thanks and gratitude.

Tim Egan remarked, “last year the Founder’s Society consisted of 473 members and raised $1.8M.  Some of you give with one-time large checks, some earmark a portion of each weekly paycheck, and however you donate and reach the annual number, we appreciate each and every one of you.”
