Liberty Mutual Serves at St. Francis House During National Volunteer Week

Serve with Liberty Mutual at St. Francis House

National Volunteer Week also for Companies

St. Francis House recently celebrated National Volunteer Week at the end of April. The concept of corporate volunteer week has taken off, with many businesses establishing regular volunteer opportunities to get their employees involved in the communities where they work and play. We have been lucky as the destination of choice for corporate partners to help with our basic service needs.

One such corporate partner was Liberty Mutual Insurance. Serve with Liberty is Liberty Mutual Insurance’s employee community service program which runs for two weeks. Liberty’s employees choose from a variety of non profit destinations where they offer their time and services.

St. Francis House welcomed a total of 21 volunteers over the course of four days. Usually volunteers often work one shift at St. Francis House. But, #ServeWithLiberty volunteers served double shifts in our kitchen, starting with food preparation and finishing with serving lunch to our guests!

Inspired by how their work contributed to the larger St. Francis House mission, Liberty volunteers capped off their service with a tour of the unique services on all ten floors of our building.

How does my company or organization get involved?
