On April 12, over 100 St. Francis House supporters gathered at Joe’s American Bar and Grille on the Waterfront to celebrate and raise funds for Team St. Francis House. The event was part of the St. Francis House’s marathon campaign to raise $69,000 for our programs and services. Race to the Finish Line was organized and staffed by the Emerging Leaders of St. Francis House, our young professionals group.
Team St. Francis House runners were introduced by President and CEO Karen LaFrazia. Each runner spoke at the microphone telling their stories of connection and dedication to St. Francis House. It was an impactful presentation as runner Sam Macomber recounted, “the race is Monday, but I’ll be thinking about Wednesday. Wednesday is when I serve meals at St. Francis House.”
The raffle prizes for the night brought in almost $2,000 and included Red Sox tickets, nights a the Marriott Copley Plaza and the Westin Hotel, and a variety of Clarks shoes and restaurant packages.
We were thrilled to have several executives from our Gold Level sponsor, Webster Bank, in attendance – as our racing singlets were unveiled to the crowd for the first time! Thank you to Joe’s American Bar and Grill for the excellent service and hors d’oeuvres.
Thanks for all who participated. Pictures from the event below.
