As our 14th Annual Shooze Cruise approaches, we want to spread the news about the wonderfully generous folks at North 26 Restaurant and the Millenunim Bostonian Hotel, who graciously provide the amazing buffet spread on board.
Chef Julia Brant of North 26 Restaurant, got involved in the 2015 cruise by sending St. Francis House an email with her interest in helping out at our shelter. After some meetings and discussions of how her time and talent could be best utilized, we asked if she could solicit her restaurant to be the signature food provider on our Shooze Cruise. They accepted!
Chef Julia is able to leverage her vendors to help with the food donations and each year the spread is more delightful. From a bounty of sandwiches and wraps, to lobster sliders, veggie spring rolls and a tower of shrimp cocktail – all the prep and work on board the boat is provided to St. Francis House free of charge. That means the money we raise that night of the cruise can go directly towards our life saving services – not towards extra onboard expenses.
Says Chef Julia Brant, “It has been and continues to be my privilege to support St. Francis House. I have been a fan of this important organization for a long time; and therefore I am honored that the team here at the Bostonian Hotel and North 26 can play a direct part in helping make a difference in our community. We are so thrilled that the event keeps getting more successful every year!”
Our partnership with North 26 Restaurant and Chef Julia is one we hope to continue for many years. If you’re in the city sometime soon check them out, right near Faneuil Hall. Tell them St. Francis House sent you!
