PCG has been a long time corporate supporter of St. Francis House, committing to ongoing financial support of our programs and services. They are now committing to an ongoing volunteering partnership with St. Francis House, to offer their employees skills to our students in the Sullivan Family Moving Ahead Program (MAP).
The program recently kicked off with two of our lead volunteers from PCG who are spearheading the program. They spent time one-on-one with MAP students to assist them with their resumes and general computer skills, and they also helped to transform our Studio Shine department, which had an influx of donations that needed to be sorted through to allow our students to take advantage of the donated business attire for their job interviews.
When asked about the experience, Jenny Joseph-Hayle indicated, “The students I worked with were prepared and eager to get formatting done and additional help with their resumes. It’s great to see individuals committed to succeeding in the next phase of their lives. We are excited for the opportunity to work with your students and look forward to participating in other engagement opportunities at St. Francis House.”
Jenny is a consultant at PCG and Co-Chair of PCG Cares, and has led the effort to engage employees at PCG in the work being done in the MAP program. The natural skillsets of the employees at PCG paired with our MAP students needs, are a perfect match. We are excited to embark on this expanded partnership with PCG.
