Donuts, massages, and a dance party—what a way to begin a Wednesday morning! At our Senior Day Event, guests spent the morning enjoying pastries and coffee, receiving massages, and dancing to various Latin dance tunes. The event was hosted by Gloria Davila and the Maná Latin Leadership Group with Perfectly Balanced Life providing massages to guests. Gloria has volunteered at St. Francis House providing basic services to our guests. Inspired by her volunteer experiences, she created this event as a way to use her talents to give back even more so to the guests of St. Francis House.
The morning began with various members of Perfectly Balanced Life leading guests through a relaxing meditation while also offering massages. Once guests felt rejuvenated, DJ Darlin turned up the tunes and guests hit the dance floor! The Maná group surprised the guests by inviting famous Latin singer Alexander Faria to the event to sing a few songs. Smiles spread across many guests’ faces as they danced and sang along.
After the vibrant dance party quieted and guests settled back into their seats, the Maná group gifted St. Francis House with a brand new television set, to be enjoyed by guests in the first floor Atrium. Maná also made out a generous check donation to St. Francis House.
As the event came to a close, each guest received a backpack stuffed with various hygiene products, snacks and other items to take with them. Guests left the event smiling and feeling revitalized. A special thank you to Gloria, the Maná Latin Leadership Group, and Perfectly Balanced Life for treating our guests to a joy-filled morning of rest and relaxation.
