We’re making steady progress on the Ground and 1st floors, and there’s a lot happening!
Front Door Entry
Our new front doors are officially in! The installation came with a few bumps along the way, which required extra after-hours lobby coverage for a couple of weeks. A huge thank you to all our staff who picked up extra shifts to keep things secure during that time.

Loading Dock Access Ramp
This month, we successfully installed a new ramp in the alley leading to the loading dock. Deliveries can now move straight from the alley into the freight elevator — a big win for Food Services, Facilities, and Clothing. More updates to come as we continue improving access points.
Central Stairwell
The center stairwell is also taking shape, with more progress visible every week!

⚠️ Phase 2 Construction Move – Updated Timeline ⚠️
When is the move happening?
The move into Phase 2 has been delayed by two weeks. Instead of the week of August 18th, we’ll now begin moving off the 2nd and 3rd floors in the first week of September.
Why the delay?
The Boston Fire Department (BFD) determined that additional changes to our fire alarm system are required—changes we hadn’t been informed of earlier. While this does set us back, we must follow BFD’s directives to secure the necessary permits and keep construction on track.
Will this affect the overall finish date?
Not by much. We’re still on schedule to wrap up in December, just a little later than expected. Instead of returning right around Christmas, we’ll plan to move back in during the first week of January.
