The Shooze Cruise is SFH’s signature boat party hosted by our Emerging Leaders. Attendees bring a pair of shoes to donate as they board.
This year’s event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th, 2020
now online at 7pm! (GET YOUR TICKETS/SUPPORT US HERE)
Due to COVID-19 safety precautions we’re taking this fundraiser virtual! The 17th annual Shooze Cruise will be a night of entertainment with musical artists, comedians, raffles and more to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home, all while helping to fulfill urgent footwear needs of our homeless guests! Ticket purchasers will receive the link to our Amazon wishlist for shoes so they can still be sent directly to St. Francis House!
For more information on sponsorship or in-kind donations, please contact Carrie Neff at email@example.com.
First Mates Club members help to underwrite the cost of the boat with a donation of $200 each, enabling the evening’s proceeds to go directly towards our life-saving programs and services. First Mates receive 4 complimentary tickets to the event + VIP benefits
Thank you to 2018’s First Mates
325 generous supporters set sail around the Boston Harbor on August 7th, 2019 to raise funds, collect shoewear and spread the word about St. Francis House’s work to rebuild lives by providing refuge, readiness and recovery services to adults experiencing homelessness in Boston.
Not only did #ShoozeCruise2019 raise $35,000 for St. Francis House’s programs and services, we collected 427 pairs of shoes – some of which were literally given out to guests in need of footwear the next morning!
Our annual and ever-growing Shooze Cruise would not be possible without the leadership of our Emerging Leaders, SFH’s young professionals who spend months of hard work and dedication to plan the entire event as well as our friends at North 26 who donate the food each year and the staff and crew at Bay State Cruise Company who are always super helpful to work with. Not to mention our generous sponsors and First Mates, many of whom return year after year to make this all happen!
The 15th Annual Shooze Cruise, presented by the Emerging Leaders of St. Francis House set sail on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018. As tides were rising, attendees boarded the Provincetown II from the Seaport’s World Trade Center Pier with new or gently used men’s shoes in hand.
After the counting was complete, we collected over 300 pairs of shoes and raised over $35K for St. Francis House!
As attendees arrived and crossed the gangway, they donated shoes into Shooze Cruise collection boxes that quickly filled up. (Thanks DGI Invisuals for the amazing collection boxes!) Our Emerging Leaders team got to work early volunteering at the registration area, staffing the expedited First Mates boarding desk and selling raffle tickets. We also set up quick and easy burrito and pizza stations (compliments of Boloco Atlantic Wharf and Florina Pizzeria & Paninoteca) which were a huge hit with attendees as they boarded!
Once out on the harbor, everyone enjoyed the amazing food, generously donated by North 26 Restaurant and Chef Julia Brant for the fourth consecutive year. Sandwiches, a shrimp tower, various salads, and delicious desserts were on the menu. And once out on the harbor, attendees were treated to a light show that filled the night skies.
Guests enjoyed a lively evening filled with refreshing harbor breezes and they snapped hundreds of photos of the Boston skyline. Many guests took advantage of our social media contest for a chance to win prizes which included gift cards donated by Wolverine World Wide!
Thank you to all of our 2018 Shooze Cruise sponsors!
A huge thanks to our Captain Level ($5K) Sponsors: Webster Bank and Converse for their financial support and presence on the cruise. The 14th Annual Shooze Cruise, presented by the Emerging Leaders of St. Francis House set sail on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017. On a delightful 75° evening, attendees boarded the Provincetown II from the Seaport’s World Trade Center Pier with new men’s shoes in hand.
Early in the night
As attendees arrived and crossed the gangway, they donated shoes into branded collection boxes that quickly filled to the brim. (Thanks DGI Invisuals for the boxes!) Our Emerging Leaders team got to work early helping at the registration area, the expedited host committee boarding desk and setting up the on board raffle. We also set up an quick and easy burrito station (compliments of Boloco Boston Common) which was a huge hit with attendees as they first got on board.
Once out on the harbor, the abundance of food was generously donated by North 26 Restaurant and Chef Julia Brant for the 3rd consecutive year. Sandwiches, a shrimp tower and various salads were on the menu.
Guests enjoyed a picture perfect evening and snapped hundreds of photos of the city skyline. Many guests took advantage of our Instagram contest for a chance to win door prizes. Our door prizes were two pairs of Clarks shoes (generously donated by Clarks) and Red Sox tickets.
The dance floor was jammed all night with hundreds of Boston’s young professionals led by Boston’s own DJ Renell. After the counting was complete, we collected over 400 pairs and raised over $33K for St. Francis House.
Special thanks and sponsors
