On August 1st, we relocated many of our day shelter services to our building across the street at 7 Boylston Square. After spending the day serving guests as usual at 39 Boylston, we then spent the afternoon and evening getting set up in our new temporary space. We were ready to go again the next day to welcome our guests at 6:30 am!
From the first day until now–almost two weeks in–staff and guests have quickly adjusted to the new routine, and operations have been smooth. We were back to our standard meals, with salmon, rice, and salad for lunch on the first day, kicking off our new digs in style! Take a look at how we transformed to welcome our guests:

Now that our ground and first floors at 39B are empty, we are gearing up to kick off demolition and prepare the space for phase 1 of construction. We will start in the basement, and then tackle the first floor before the end of August.
