Poetic Gratitude: Celebrating the Graduation of the MAP Class

Witnessing our latest class of MAP graduates transform their lives and make significant strides toward economic stability is truly inspiring. We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments and the dedication they’ve shown throughout their MAP journey. The MAP program at St. Francis House is dedicated to empowering individuals and helping them achieve financial independence. We provide comprehensive financial education, job training, and career development resources to equip our participants with the skills they need to succeed. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of our MAP graduates. Your resilience and commitment are an inspiration to us all. We have no doubt that you will continue to excel in your future endeavors.

One of our graduates took to poetry to express her gratitude for the class and her hope for the future:

Words of emotion,

Use to cause me internal commotion.

But to show my new found prowess

I’ll express,

With out contest,

In my best,

what’s close to my chest.

I can’t believe graduation day is here,

For many of us this is the beginning to a new career.

MAP gave us a place to grow

In ways we didn’t know.

Our instructors,

We’re huge factors.

Although we may have had daily class,

They made it worth our time to pass.

We were taught skills

With no frills.

Of timeliness, effectiveness,

and most Importantly willingness.

Which, go figure – is job readiness!

But we were surprised to know,

we had more to grow.

For there was little to mask

What was our true task.

MAP gave us a safe place to be,

a future some of us were told we could not see.

And while others had no time to spare,

as time and space can be a large fair.

St. Francis House and MAP showed they care,

giving us a place and time to share.

So thank you to all those that make MAP

Not just a matter of fact.

We, MAP class 205 are true testaments

That we are not embarrassments,

Instead we are valued investments.

Congrats to my fellow 205 MAP classmates,

Now let’s show the world we have what it takes!
